But Toyin, are you legit?! Here are some experiences that inform my trainings
- Ran my first “real” business from 16-18 and earned $150,000 painting exterior homes with over 40 painters
- Went to University covered by scholarships but graduated with tens of thousands of dollars of debt because I had a wack money mindset.
- Spent 9 years working in the social sector (assistant director for a system of 27 shelters for men coming out of addiction).
- 15 years in ministry - worship leading, teaching and 3 years of street ministry assisting the homeless.
- Coached government officials to win political campaigns and get into municipal, and federal office.
BEFORE
- Homeless and squatting with my sister, then parents, then aunt because we couldn’t afford our own place to rent.
- Ran out of food to eat - my husband ate chocolates for a week so I could have the last of our food as I was breastfeeding our 6 month old.
- Had to email friends and family to help with rent and bills. One of the HARRRDDDDDEST things I ever had to do.
